Minutes of the meeting in Utrecht, the Netherlands
The 3rd and 4th June 2005
The project Civil service apprentiship aims four transnational meeting.
The first meeting has been organized in Roma in November. In June to Utrecht
was placed the second. During the second meeting the partners present the
case studies and the national report (first phase of the project).
Afterwards, the partners that have realized the case studies start to
describe their job:
• Foundation PRO-EPA (Bulgaria) has realized 8 case studies: 3 Bulgarian, 1
from Poland, 2 Romanian, 2 Latvian.
• CECE (Spain) has realized 8 case of studies.
• Cenasca (Italy) has realized 8 case of studies. The Italian case studies
are about the National Civil Service based on voluntary choice.
• Kenniscentrum EVC (the Netherlands) has realized 8 case of studies.
Each partner has prepared and present the draft of the National report about
as previewed in the first phase of the report.
The table of contents of the national report is verified. On the base of the
information collected for the case studies, the partners decide the index of
the National reports:
The definitions of the “civil service” and/or “social service” and/or
similar experiences, laws and peculiarities of voluntary civil service or
similar experiences in own country.
National and regional policies on validation of non formal and informal
learning, implementation of policy/policies on validation of non formal and
informal learning. Criteria for the selection of case studies and
methodology applied.
Description of the main points of the case studies.
Conclusions based on the swot analysis. (the conclusions are elaborated by
the researcher and each national report have to contain one general swot
analysis for all the case studies). Glossary. The glossary’s function is to
understand the meaning of the words utilized in the countries partners of
the project. (The Italian partners will start to develop the glossary)

The second phase of the project aims a prototype path of non formal learning
(to define the steps of a not formal learning pathway). The partners will
have to realize the focus group in each country. At the focus group will be
invited the direct responsible of the voluntary service projects. On the
base of the 10 themes presented by ERIFO, each partner will have to work out
the specific questions for the focus.
The focus have to been placed in July.
