PROGRESS program The Commission has introduced, in the last July, the proposal for a new program - PROGRESS - for the period 2007 - 2013 will contain all the measures on the employment, the social exclusion, the social protection, the conditions of job, the discrimination and the Equal opportunities. In particular "social inclusion and social protection" objects will be: Improve the comprehension of the poverty, the inclusion and the social protection; Monitoring and estimate the Open Method of Coordination applied to these areas; Organize exchanges in order to promote the mutual learning; Stimulate debate, diffuse information and sensitize; Support the main European Networks Each one of these areas of encroachment corresponds a specific section of PROGRESS, therefore, will replace all the existing programs. It is necessary to emphasize there isn’t a specific mentions about financing transnational exchanges, and further social protection and social inclusion will be fused in one area. The Co - decision of the European Counsel/Parliament is attended for the second half of 2005, under British Presidency. The position of the European Parliament would have to be public to June of 2005. Il programma PROGRESS La Commissione ha presentato, nel luglio scorso, la proposta per un nuovo programma – PROGRESS - dove per il periodo 2007 – 20013 confluirebbero tutte le misure sull’occupazione, l’esclusione sociale, la protezione sociale, le condizioni di lavoro, la discriminazione e la parità di genere. In particolare gli obiettivi della sezione “inclusione sociale e protezione sociale” saranno: • Migliorare la comprensione della povertà, dell’inclusione e della protezione sociale; • Monitorare e valutare il Metodo Aperto di Coordinamento applicato a queste aree; • Organizzare scambi per promuovere l’apprendimento reciproco; • Stimolare dibattiti, diffondere informazioni e sensibilizzare; • Sostenere le principali Reti europee A ciascuna di queste aree di intervento corrisponde una sezione specifica di PROGRESS che, quindi, andrebbe a rimpiazzare tutti i programmi esistenti. È necessario sottolineare che non si fa mensione specifica del sostegno agli scambi transnazionali e che protezione sociale e inclusione sociale saranno fusi uno nell’altro. La co - decisione Consiglio/Parlamento Europeo è attesa per la seconda metà del 2005, sotto Presidenza britannica.
